Advisor: Mr. Nicolò Doglioni, Geologist Project Description:
Following the April 6th 2009 earthquake, the already instable situation of the slope above the road SS696 abruptly deteriorated and large rock volumes fell, reaching the road. Activities included: historical analysis of previous phenomena and studies, followed by a field survey and the hazard analysis. Through a probabilistic model (Rockfall and Rockscience) calculated the possible trajectories of instable blocks has been calculated to finally propose the appropriate securing interventions.
Activities Performed:
Geomechanical study of the slope stability.
Planning of proper interventions.
